This is something to keep you guys from killing yourselves over the weekend. Response is good, but boost shown is only 18 lbs., so there's still a bit of a ways to go.

More to come next week (weather permitting).

With regard to the weight issue, I thought that in terms of SL55 v SL600, the V12 is only a 100 lb penalty (4400 v 4500). So not that much of a difference.

My research says that E55 weight 4200 lbs

The SL65 V12 engine is only about 60lbs heavier! The car only weighs 160lbs more!

If you think the SL65 V12 engine is a lot heavier that is a myth! The engine weighs only about 60lbs more then a SL55 engine... Granted the 60lbs is in the wrong place being up front...

Take into account the entire SL65 only is about 160 lbs heavier then the similarly equipped SL55!

The entire SL65 drivetrain is beefed up and they all have full options (heated/cooled seats etc) and full leather on every part of the car which is heavier the vinyl... Plus remember the SL65 has the following:

1. Limited slip (30lbs)
2. Much larger (enormous)brakes (25 lbs)
3. Heavier axles and drive shaft, (15 lbs)
4. Extra inter-coolers (2) (10 lbs)
5. 19 inch wheels (10 lbs)

Just to list a few items... Add up all of the extra weight of these SL65 only performance items and you will realize that the extra 160lbs of weight is spread out over the entire car...

That is very impressive with just 18psi, When I had the VRP825 package it was hitting 29 psi of Boost and peak of 30's...of course it was only laying down close to 700 rwhp...

I thought it was awful, but that is pretty substantial for 18psi, looking forward to big boost

Me, too! Only so much boost you can make on 91 octane, and we're easing into it on this particular car (the fact that the weather isn't playing along doesn't help - lots of snow delays).

More dyno graphs later in the week.

Yo bud! Keep in mind the car used to make that Dyno above has ZERO exhaust work IE DP's full 3"/Race or NO cats etc = EZ 25 + rwhp will prolly loose 1 psi after exhaust work & = near 600 rwhp on 17-18 psi, 25 psi will add 7-8 lbs boost, each psi is worth a conservative 10hp it's adding up nicely

I know you're NO stranger to boost this pkg is looking good..

We were running out of injectors. Back to work on the car last weekend after making just about 750 hp - once the new injectors are in we should be good.

I kept thinking fuel would be an issue. Just because I haven't checked, do 600's and 65's have the same pump and injectors?

A. they do not, the 65s flow more.

B. I am not 100% sure that this is an issue on ALL 600s, rather than just THIS 600, you know? The new injectors should get here in the AM, and we'll have some results.

Just a standard conversion for all PSI: BAR = 14.7 PSI:1 BAR

So 25 PSI = 1.72 BAR

What are the specs/brand on the injectors you are going with? how much bigger are they than stock?

It still had the old fuel filter, which has been updated by MB. On the 600s, the old filters also had a pressure release. A few ways the fuel delivery might not have been 100%.

Still waiting on UPS, guys.
