Will SL63 Headrests fit our SL55/65 seats??

Hey Guys,

I already asked once and had not much luck in finding an answer to this question. If I simply remove the headrests from the SL63 (the ones that are ventilated with the fans) will these fit in the SL55? I figured since the seats are the same these should have no issues fitting inside. Let us skip the working part on getting these fans to work. Lets just focus on if they will be a perfect match for a swap.

These are the ones I'm talking about

Thanks

KAMIL

Why go to the trouble and cost, if you dont care for the functionality?

Well, I work for a dealsership so I can get the headrests from a salvaged SL63 with not much issues, now to make them work is something I do intend on doing, but want to know if they will fit first, I dont want to buy them and have to get stuck with them not fitting.

I am confident they will fit, and I would assume you could make your own basic 12 volt switch to make them function, it would be much easier than getting the factory switch, cutting the door panel, and messing with all the can junk

That is exacly what I figured and that they would be easy to get to work using my own switch.

I wonder if someone has done this mod, or if someone is 100% sure, I think I will have to go on and check part numbers as far as the SL55/65 seats go vs the SL63 seats, just the top piece holding the headrest in place.

I like the idea too. I view it as a sorta aesthetic mod. They look much more updated then the 55 headrests and would be interested if they fit as well.

My SL is just about 99% top down year round so it would be cool update to the interior that is always showing.

I like the mod, but it would mostly be for my gf that complains that it gets cold, but she usually doesn't like the top down since it messes up her hair....If it wasn't terrible to install, I would still be interested though.
