I pay $800.00 per year on my SL600 with only a $100.00 deductible.

Porsche guy who drives SL63 w/ perf pkg AND perf suspension
if its a new car its more, if its devalued down to $30k its less. if you have a good record with your company and youve been with them for years you'll get a low rate. if you are walking into a new company with a new car its going to be those high rates.

When I purchased the car, it's value according to my insurance company, was close to 60K, not 30K. My rates haven't lowered as the car has aged. It's always been right around $800-900.

However, it's a 3rd vehicle on the policy and we also have our house insured through the same company. My, and my wife's driving record is impeccable. Also getting discounts for being married, having two demon seeds running around the house, and scaring the hell out of 40.

On a side note, when I was 21, I purchased a Toyota MR2 Turbo. Most insurance companies wouldn't even insure me on that car. I had to go with something called MAIF, or Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund. Basically, it was the state insuring you, when you were too high risk for traditional insurance companies. My car payment was $302 per month, and my insurance payment was $443.00 per month. What a dummy I was. But man, that car got me laid soooooooo much back then. Can't put a price on that.
