HRE THANK YOU!!!!

As most of you know my wheel got smacked up over the weekend. Monday I stroll into Dyno-Comp to take care of some work. I tell Ron at DC, "I need a new outer barrel for my wheel" He he gets on the phone with HRE. I head back to the car audio shop thats right next to DC. As I'm waiting for my car to be finished I stroll over to DC. I see my friend Jack with and HRE on his wheel machine. I say "hay, I got those wheels, whats that for?" He says "Thats your wheel" I look at him a bit puzzled. Turns out HRE was able to get me the new barrel to me in under 24 hours from the time Ron @ DC called HRE.

Infact Jack our wheel and tire specialist at DC was able to get my wheel disassembled and reassembled before 4pm today. Now its a waiting game for the sealant. There is nothing like putting a problem behind yo as fast as you can. In all honesty HRE came through big time. I was pretty bummed out about this wheel thing.

With that said

THANK YOU HRE!!!

How much did the barrel cost you from HRE? I have one with a little rash I might replace, cost permitting

HRE FTW! Their customer service is second to none. When mine were trashed Vince was nothing short of great to deal with.

Glad she'll be back on the road soon!

I bought two sets of (discontinued) HRE wheels from Forum Sponsor Vivid Racing recently. When I asked HRE if they can be refinished from chrome to brushed/powdercoat I was told that my wheels are part of a batch that not only voids the regular lifetime HRE warranty, but even stronger; HRE won't have anything to do with my wheels, even if I'm willing to pay good money for a refinish.

Now my question: is there something technically wrong with discontinued wheels that are dumped in the market (by HRE through traders) that HRE won't touch these wheels with a 10 foot pole?

Sprins - I recently had a customer that bought a set and the wheels were scratched HRE gladly took them back to refinish them. Just because these wheels are discontinued HRE USA still honors the warranty.

As to your wheels, I will speak to my HRE rep to see what we can do for you. I do apologize that you are getting the service that you deserve through HRE, I will see what I can do. I'm certain HRE USA will gladly assist you, they dont just dump wheels on to their customers.

I appreciate your confidence, however, I've gotten a slightly different reading on this subject from HRE themselves. Basically they say I'm S.O.L. for buying highly discounted HRE wheels from you. Not only did the wheels lost their HRE lifetime warranty, they apparently aren't even eligible for a refinish at HRE for which I was willing to pay proper charges. In short; they don't ever again want to see these wheels at their plant. Imagine my confusion...
