do you see your sl55 /65 xenon lights adjust on start
just noticed that mine does not move the beams up/down when the car is started. all other hid-equiped mercs i've had do that...

does your r230 do it?

2003 SL55, 1999 Lexus LS400
I've noticed mine doesn't seem to do it either. My 1999 Lexus LS400 did it. Is it simply not very noticeable or what?

I've also noticed that Bi-Xenon lights is considered an option on the SL55. I can't imagine any car over $70k+ not having HIDs. Was this really an option where some of them don't have it?

My sl65 does not have bixenons. Maybe only the bixenons sweep on startup?

Yes, only the vehicles equipped with bixenon headlamps will do a self-leveling test at start up. I also believe, that you won't have the headlamp washers, unless it's equipped with bixenon headlamps.

I do have washers, but as mentioned before no bixenons.

I think washers and self leveling are required in Europe for all cars equipped with xenon (low or bi)

SL65, 427 COBRA (CSX-3127)73 911S, 246GTS (DINO SPYDER), CORNICHE,1962 PORSCHE TWIN GRILLE ROADSTER+
All SL65s come standard with bixenon headlights!
According to the window sticker bixenon headlights are standard on the SL65.

My SL65 has them and they do not seem to self level and the extra set I have has no provisions or pivot point for leveling...
