Which brake pads are you using? EBC Redstuff, Hawk, Akebono?
So I need to do a complete brake job on my 2006 SL55. I am planning on buying the OEM rotors but using a different pad. I find that the OEM pads dust a lot and personally mine were very squeaky when approaching stop signs and lights.
Has anyone tried or is anyone running pads other then OEM right now? How does the stopping power and noise compare to the originals? Need to buy parts tomorrow, please share your thoughts

Thanks for the replies. Do you guys find the stopping power or bite of the pads to be different from OEM pads? Do the Akebonos make any squealing or squeaking noise?

Anyone who is into performance tuning should check out Evosport's lightweight rotors. They improve both acceleration and steering response. The only downside is the higher price.
