SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Headlight surgery

I have an old headlight where the plastic housing is broken beyond repair. ( Stealership will charge you $3.320 here in Sweden)
Then I have a second headlight totally fine, except it does not support Automatic Xenon Adjustment. I’m thinking of simply swopping the plastic houses but that mean I will have to take them totally apart …. and even I’m not afraid to try, then I would like any help I can get. (I’m a skilled craftsman by the way and have a sense for mechanics
)
if you have common sense- you will see what needs to get done- the light assembly is self-explanatory... just be careful as there are a lot of moving parts, levers, etc. inside and if you manage to drop everything you will have one hell of a puzzle on your hands.
ask me how i know...
– I will recommend two persons for this; one working with the glass the other cutting the glue ….. by the way; I have finished the operation and it looks like the patient will survive! He’s resting on my Black Jack table and is awaiting assembly on Monday – so we will see then if it works. It’s not as difficult as first expected ones you figure out how to take the little plastic things from each other –a kind of jigsaw ….. but you only got one try …. curse if you break something, then you can’t replace it.
I did break some plastic even I had a spare headlight to practice on first – it was the “holders” in the assembly box where the two small sockets are placed ….. guess one should make some special tool if there ever comes a next time ….. I did take pictures of the whole operation if anybody is interested ……

The patient:

PS – If anybody knows where to buy the assembly box and any stuff inside of the headlight please inform. I did find a Chinese site but …. my Chinese is a little rusty

I must say that this headlight is only designed to be assembled and not to be taken apart so please do not hold me responsible if anything goes wrong.
There’s probably different ways to do this but this was my DIY-NEW (Do-it-yourself-nobody-ells-will)

The headlight is now resting on my car and working fine - so I just saved $2.516 by a DIY-NEW ha ha - not so bad for days work!

It looks like some kind of electric motor.
My indicator bulb terminals burned out and thanks to your pics I managed a fix without removing the headlamp ( or purchasing a new one at £729 plus vat)
I managed to locate the wires and pull them out and re made a connection.
