Differential Fluid change at 2000 miles

My understanding is that cars with the AMG limited slip differential are required to have the differential fluid replaced at 2000 miles. The SA at my dealer says that this is for the SL63 P030 cars only. He says its not needed for the SL65. But I'm fairly sure the SL65 has the same AMG limited slip differential as does the SL63 P030. My car is now at 20,000 miles and the service history doesn't show that this was done. I'm going to change it myself this weekend but I'm wondering what harm may have occured from not having it flushed at 2000 miles. I'm assuming that the factory put some sort of break-in lubricant.

The owner's manual says to use Castrol SAF-XJ. Does everyone agree that's the product to use?
