04 sl55 amg. Seat belts make a "clicking" noise like they are trying to tighten. Dashboard lights pulse with the engine and when the hi-beams are on the also pulse brighter....Any ideas what the issue is??...oh..and at the same time the seat belts are clicking the windows won't go up or down until I turn off the engine and restart.

With something that widespread, I think I would be looking for a bad ground somewhere. Try to find the ground points on the car and make sure they are clean, not corroded, and the cables are in good shape.

Check your batteries. A faulty accessory battery (the onein the trunk) will do this. Check terminals.

If not the accessory battery- ground or rear sam would be my guess.

It was the alternator..

Ah, yes. It is a weak battery, but a bad alternator will result in weak battery. The funny thing is that the car is supposed to display a message if the rear battery is weak, but it not always does.
