My new to me SL55!
Been a busy week. Had car since last saturday and already done new wheels/tires, lowered, k&n's, waxed, thoroughly cleaned (like white glove!), wrapped rear window trims in cf, and wrapped all window moldings in matte black vinyl. Other parts on the way including a cf amg style spoiler.
20x9 255/30/20ps2 and 20x11 305/25/20 ps2 maya wheels with brushed and clear coated inner and outer barrels.

yup, pretty much all of them! haha. probably just start with a tune and pulley, new heat exchanger and pump. after that, i need to decide. i can fab up any exhaust parts, and the header flanges are one design, just need to lazer out 8 of one cad drawing, so pretty cheap. but, it would almost be cheaper to just do a rear mount turbo set up (my labor free ofcourse) than buy the rest of the stuff available for performance mods. more bang for the buck i guess. but, i havn't researched alot about the ecu and it's ability to control large enough injectors, and still idle good. sounds like i will be in uncharted territory if i go that route.
i also have a ls tt 67 camaro project with full frame and irs going right now, so my focus (and money!) should probably be heading that direction. i am pretty sure i have the new to me car excitement and it should peter off soon. haha. maybe just stay with the simple bolt on mods for now for the merc.

thanks man. yes, lowered on links. i didn't heed to their advice of leaving them the height to start with and dropped them more out of the box. installed and dropped car down. couldn't turn wheels. haha. had to crank it back up a little. i do drive the car like this though. little bumpy, but can hit the button and lift it at bumps or rough road.

thanks everyone else too. having a blast in this thing. one thing though, how come one dam front and rear light comes on when i park it at night!! haha. last weekend i parked on a hill and the right front and rear lights stayed on, then tonight, i parked on a slant, and the left front and rear lights stayed on. i get home, parked on my sloped driveway, and no lights on! am i hitting something? feel like a dick because everyone keeps coming up telling me my lights are on, and all i can say is "thats just what it does". lol

Light switch needs to be in the straight vertical position.

Nice one....When it comes to the panels on the roof I just ordered new OEM panels for mine since mine also peals of. Very cheap OEM parts and make a HUGE difference...Partnumers are: A2307920430 and A2307920330

Love the Carbon Fiber trimm on the rear window, mine is also pealing/flaking. That would look so hot on my ride seeing as how I have the CF rear spoiler. Did you do it yourself or take it to a shop?

did it myself. just got the stuff off ebay. make sure it is the 3d type cf vinyl. the other crap is just printed and looks like the ink transfer stuff.
it is pretty easy to do really. it is a little thicker than regular vinyl and very hard to get any trapped bubbles.
i don't like the wood in the car. it just looks out of place with a silver car, and black and grey interior. i am headed to garage now to pull the interior panels and wrap them too. if it looks too dumb, i will just go with original plan of wrapping in alcantara/suede like instrument cluster.
i too have a cf rear spoiler coming, but am stuck between getting a body kit, or just getting the cf front spoiler too. this 3d cf vinyl is VERY convincing though. from 5' away, 90% of people will think it is real dry type cf.

well, adding in a new he and pump. found a he on ebay with roughly the same dimensions as the ones that sell for $400-500 that are sl55 bolt ins. it is $100 though! weld on a couple tabs, and good to go!

got cf rear spoiler today. looks good. doesn't look right without a front cf spoiler on though, so now thats on the way. got all excited about my extra cooling mods, so decided to pull the trigger on 180mm pulley and tune. sometimes things just make sense. after that, im stopping!! well, after the nitrous i mean.
