Anyone know who makes this SL55/65 front bumper?
I found this picture on an old post and have searched for over a week to try and locate the MFG or reseller of this bumper cover. Really, I am not lazy I have spent endless hours looking through Google Images and searching every website I can find. I am hoping someone out there knows who makes it and where I can find it. Thanks!

look at the stock 65 bumper, the moulding where the parktronic sensors are missing from this aftermarket cover, the styling is a bit more aggressive and closer to the 09/11.
also it is not a EU model (missing sidemarkers) as shown in 4th photo.

Several MB's Superperformance MK III Cobra
Sorry but I can't help but it is different than an SL65 or an SL55PP. The line that runs from the headlight and horizontally across the bumper is much more pronounced as well as the tow hook cover is round not rectangular.

The car in question was for sale on a web site in Dubai.
I think t is a one off as the bumper looks to use a stock one as a starting point?

Well that sucks. I suppose the reason I liked it was because I had never seen it on any other car EXCEPT - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...5fAccessories- and then there was 2.

the only problem is that the front plate space is for euro plates... so unless your state has no front plate law... it will look really bad...

- There was a moment I thought maybe someone just photoshop'ed the front end - seems unlikely that some random supplier would end up with something super rare, maybe there is some hope [or] I could just update the entire front to current model. At this point it seems much easier... at least I know I can get the parts.

And yea, the bumper appears to be the same. Maybe someone started to have them produced as a small series? But I'm sure that the original one was custom made and a one off.

I am starting to think that and leaning more towards a facelift. Cars are not like women.. you add parts to them and they don't start thinking they are too sexy to hang around you anymore

I did the conversion almost instantly after the SL 63 came out... (2009) and I still enjoy the fresh look of it every time I get into my car.

If you're in for the new look, then go the full way and do the full conversion. This "hybrid" front bumper won't make you happy, as you will still have to go with the old fenders, hood and lights and you will continue to look jealously at the newer models... It would just burn your money as you would go for a full conversion at some point anyway (and then throw away that hybrid bumper).
