SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: 2009-2011 SL63...do they have HID fog lights or are they halogen?

i doubt any vehicle has blueish hid foglights from the factory.
hids usually produce too high wavelenght light (4800k or more) which will bounce off the water droplets in the air in fog conditions. the resulting light dispersion is unfavorable as it produces too much reflection glare and shallow distance penetration.
thus hid foglights are actually a step back optically speaking compared to lower wavelenght "regular" beams.

you can change any bulb to a hid system. take the old bulb out, buy a hid conversion kit and get that type bulb in the color you want then wire up the kit to your exhisting wiring look for the kits on line or ebay
