Hit the dragstrip again
Managed to get in with a private rental at Royal Purple in Baytown. Not the greatest track conditions, they had just scraped it and not a lot of VHT on the line. In any event, the temps were about 89 degrees, but the baro was good - 30.05". Humidity was about 49% and there was roughly a 7mph headwind. I did run a set of M/T drag radials on 17" Bogart wheels (Treynor's old setup) this time and discovered that the stock transmission program doesn't like stalling it off the line. I'd heard about it, but experienced the torque limiters completely shut down the trans firsthand today. So I launched from idle and then pushed the pedal down progressively to get going. I mainly ran 1/8 mile just to get a feel for things so the one slip shows my best 1/8 mile and then I ran it out all the way. 93 octane pump gas and the mods in my sig and that's it. Needless to say the trans program is on the to do list now. Might have hit a high 11.3 on the one run but who knows. I'm happy given the conditions.

I forgot to add that I ran a 12.6@119 with a 2.4 sec 60' on the street tires. There was just no traction to be had. Some of the runs with the M/Ts had wheelspin as well so there were only a handful of good runs.

WOW, pretty impressive runs given no traction and the 60 times.
