SL55 Rear Subframe Mounts
Does anyone have any DIY info on how to replace worn rear subframe mounts on a 2004 SL55 AMG? I think the part number is 211 351 11 42 MY
Any special tools needed? I have a lift, but not sure if I'll need any special tools, diag equipment, etc.
Stealer is quoting me $1800.
thanks!

I had a vibration at speed and, even though my wheels were balanced, they were actually out of round. Ended switching to new wheels and things are smooth as silk. For the rear subframe mounts, I would hear a slight clunking sound while deaccelerating, or coasting. Sound was from the rear passenger side. Took it in and dealer said I needed new mounts. $1800 (mostly labor)... glad I have an extended warranty.

Did you hear the noise when going over small bumps or cobblestone roads?
