SL 55 AMG 2003- 2004 model or 2005 model ? whats the difference?
Guys, ive been hearing this a lot. That the 05 models are better choice,
now i know some differences in HP and that they have a navi that can actually find your home. i still was wondering , can anyone provide us with a list of changes on the 05 model that makes this car so much better.

well my captain you havnt noticed, if you read the old threads ( take for example wheel size) you will read ten people writing that 20 inch size is just the best thing they have ever drovin on the 55 SL and 20 people say the 19 is the best and the 20 is crap and 20 say 18 is best bothe 19 and 20 rune the ride
So its nice to have an on going live conversation sometimes where the info given is also fresh. its good for the site, good for google and good for getting up to date info. Im not bored. im bursting with energy. if we dont post new threads we might as well just start something like 55-SL-Wikipedia. We can al use old threads that we look up and just ad some info from time to time
thats a lot of fun ! now thats boring

2005 SL55 AMG
It might be helpful if you started with some info. Here is what i can think of off the top of my head.
03 - used that stupid credit card transponder for keyless go
03 - 04: smaller nav/older command system
05 - newer (though still terrible) command, larger nav screen, lost AUX connection in the glove box, added spare tire
Engine HP/TQ was not upgraded in the US until MY07. I also think the Performance Pack option became available in MY05, but not sure.
