Half-mile airfield event
A friend of mine is the owner of the local Jag dealership and he told me they're putting together a “track” they next month at an old Air Force Base here. It is a two-mile runway which used to accommodate B-52s 
the airport is currently used commercially so the runway is maintained and in excellent condition. Right now they have plans to do a half-mile event but they might make it a full mile as there will be plenty of breaking space.
The question is, I have never been to a drag strip in my car. What kind of times and speeds (ballpark) do you think I should expect at both the half-mile and mile distances?
The runway is cement so grip off the line won't be ideal.
