03 SL55 AM radio is lousy with top up, great with top down. Two different antennae, one on the rear glass assembly for top up, one somewhere else for top down.

A DIY manual page states that there is an antenna amplifier on the rear window assembly used when the top is up.

I haven't seen it (yet). I suspect it's either gone or malfunctioning. Anybody have one for sale?

I have been looking for help also for no AM reception and no luck....I could act like a democrate LOL and throw money at it with the buy try and waste method but that would be stupid...
