What size rims are optimal for SL63
I am looking into changing my rims on my SL63.
I've been told many different things and wanted to know what is the right way to go about doing this.
I was thinking of going 20' all the way around or going with 19' in the front and 20's in the rear. Are any of these viable options?
How about the offset? Currently it is 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the rear. Will I be able to go with 9.5 in the fronts and 11 in the rear's.
Thanks for your help guys.

yes, I found the 20s did have a rubbing point , minor but did touch, in the worst situations, so I would go with all 19s next time

20x9F 20x11R is a solid setup which works very well on the SL. 19/20 setup would be interesting as long as you lower the car accordingly. We have done 19/20 setup on a w211 E-class and it looked surprisingly good even on that car. Just like WB has mentioned, at the end of the day it all comes down to the road conditions in your area.

Thanks for you input guys.
@Peter, will I have to shave any part of the fender if I get 20's?
Road conditions in my area are fairly well, I'm in SoCal Orange County so not a lot of bumps but I still don't want the tires to rub.

No fender work is needed. Here is the 20x9/20x11 setup with a 305 tire in the rear. This car has a lowering module and a set of camber arms in the rear. That means that it does not run any excessive camber to accommodate this wheel/tire setup:
