Looking for AMG or AMG knockoff wheels for an 07 SL550 (Fathers car)
So I'm looking for some AMG or AMG knockoff wheels for my fathers sl550. They don't have to be super lightweight or anything. Just want a quality wheel that isn't going to fall apart after a year. I see there are some vendors in the classifieds selling some new replicas for $700 for the set. That sounds low to me. Are these complete crap? Or is it just that they aren't lightweight?
Next question, I think for the SL550 the offset is 35. On the AMG's I think its like 30 up front and 32 in back right? Will this be fine on a standard 550? If I went 30 all around would I have issues in the rear?
Last question, can anyone point me in the direction of a good source to get something like this without paying an arm and a leg?

Ugh... $700 for the set? I think you'll probably get 17" AMG double spoke replicas for that price. They will look HORRIBLE on an SL.
I have one 19x95 et31 AMG two piece twin spoke wheel (proper size for sl rear) that I had refurbished after I ran over some debris in the road. I thought it was toast so I just bought a new one to the tune of $850.
Looks like this:
It turns out it was repaired and functions as a proper wheel.
I'll sell it for $400. That should get you started.
