SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Upcoming C2Design/AMGfan Wide Body Build
The upholsterer's cast is off and he can start working his way back into finishing the door panels and seats (only things not redone yet).
Brembo BBK (Big Brake Kit) were re-done and have been put on the car...fitment with the Rotiforms were great...clearance was fine.
The rear deck with the wing on pedestals was mocked up and doesn't look bad at all...going ahead with it. The wing went to the CF subcontractor and we have a metal shop to fab the metal posts that will be threaded into a plate formed into the rear wing and will be fastened under the rear deck...we are fabricating a collar around the area of the rear deck where the posts come through for a finished look.
Some more CF parts came back...instrument bezel and front vent fins.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I got tired of sending **** out to Taiwan and waiting weeks, months, and some cases a year to get stuff back...we have great turnaround time and quality control is top notch with him in my backyard.

Thanks in advance.
And are you going with a dnx990hd or dnx991hd? Or are you changing brands altogether?
He's a one man shop and to be honest with you I just don't think the SL is a priority...taking smaller jobs to make ends meet...I'm open to paying on a weekly basis based on hours worked but for some reason he's unable to do it that way.
We are about to move on if Monday doesn't go well...
Here's the update:
1. All of the interior panels and roll cage are done except for the seats and door panels...which we might be done by someone else if Monday goes bad. The carbon fiber bits are all ready to go on...the interior will get put together on Monday sans seats and door panels.
2. The rear wing is now CF and will be done after this weekend (final clear coat and polishing). We have the metal fabricator all ready to go for the metal posts for the rear wing...final wing angle and fitment will start next week.
3. Brembo brakes are on and wheels will get on last.
4. The steering wheel/sun visors is done and ready to ship back...the air bag will be dyed to match the leather wrap...the CF portion of the steering wheel was kept.

. The CF on the wing is impeccable. I can't wait for the new rear diffuser to come back from CF treatment so we can visually balance the back end...having a CF wing and not doing the rear diffuser wouldn't look right (well at least to us). The diffuser you see in the pics is the Revozport diffuser I had on the original build...I changed it to a newer version (pic of it is in earlier post but in satin black)...I just didn't think the Revozport looks right with the new look so we made the change...
The Rotiform will go on as the last thing to go on (they will look spectacular) but the Brembro BBK are already on. A lot of small trim details still need to go on the exterior...like CF trim badging, CF SL63 side mirrors, front CF spoiler lip, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something...

The interior reassembly trudges on next week...the back panels and the pop roll bar pieces are in house and going in. The door panels and seats (I can't wait for those since they will be redone in a more Aston Martin style) are next to be done.
Once the aesthetics are done...I plan to drive her for at least the end of the year and then it'll go to Switzer Performance for beta testing. It'll be a test bed for some performance modifications...standalone ECU (Syvecs), flex fuel, better cooling, better traction (dealing with wheel slippage), and yeah...more hp/tq. Goal is 1000whp...it can be done power wise but doing it with usability and reliability is also the goal. Can it be done? Not sure but it'll be fun to see what happens.
Here are pics of wing:
