Help with AC compressor part numbers?
So I need to replace my AC compressor in my 2006 SL55. The dealer wants $1100 for the part and Parts.com has it for $810. However I know that Denso is the OEM supplier for this part and it can be found much cheaper by buying the identical Denso branded part instead of the one with the Mercedes sticker on it. I found the correct Denso part number for the 2003 SL55 and the compressor can be had for around $400 brand new. But I am finding inconsistent information if the compressor was the same in the 2006 year. Does anyone know what the correct Denso part number is for a 2006 SL55?

On Denso's website, it lists the same compressor for a 2003 SL55 and a 2006 SL500. However, they do not list any available products for the 2006 SL55. Did the compressor get changed somewhere along the line to a different manufacturer or is it the same part for all years?

Hi - did you change your AC yourself? I'm to change it but would like some help since STAR does not show how to proceed ...... any help will be greatly appreciate
