SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Whats the best/easiest way to black out the two chrome lines on the side vent?

I was thinking to tape up areas you don't want black and try Plastidip them.

tape a rectangle around and plasti dip them!

Take them off. Two torx screws and double sided tape holds them on. I took off the grille, spoiler, exhaust tips, hood vents, side vents and all the emblems. Scuffed and painted and then reapplied double sided 3m tape on all pieces. The plasti-dip method works but I didn't want over-spay on the paint. (to each his own however)
