Picked up 2003 SL55, questions on some of the gadgetry...

1) Manual/W/S button, is for suspension. S is obviously sport, whats W and how does Manual work?

2) There is a button that levels car and you can click it so it lights up for both driver and passenger side, when do you use that? Whats the actual point of that?

3) While adjusting seat and setting memory, I noticed the rear view mirror moved as well alongside side mirrors and everything else. Is there a button to move rearview around or do you just set it by hand. I am pretty sure I am not imagining this (that the rearview actually moved) but it was late in the night!

The little +/- on each side of steering wheel, i am assming thats to shift gears with the buttons behind them?

1: it's the transmission program selector
2: e.g. when the speedbump is too high or the ramp is too steep
3: the round button near button from question 2 had a selector switch for the mirror you want to set. The round button is the setter.

manual means you will be shifting by the buttons. s means sport, but will give full auto operation while in drive. you can also shift by tapping shifter side to side in this mode. w stands for winter. iirc it starts you off in second and really tones down the shift speed for driving on ice or snow.
i havn't noticed the mirrors move on their own due to seat only adjustments.

the car leveling button does not just do one side or the other. no lights on and the car will be in its lowest setting. hit once and one left light, and the car just lifted 1.5". one more tap to 2 lights and the car lifted an additional .5". hit third time and car drops back done to original setting. if you are in mode 2 or 3, at speeds over 70mph the car will auto drop to the lowest setting. this is as per manual, but i have noticed my car moving about 1.5" on first level, then about another 1-1.5" on second. my first level is slammed though due to lowering links.

... What they said!

The mirror does move with the seat memory function.... this isn't an alcohol related function!

I have to use the 'one light' level, as mine is lowered as well.

Now, once you run into that 155 mph limiter...... give me a call! Enjoy the SL55, its a great car!

Hmmm...I think my car stays on the same setting even though I speed over 70 mph (does not lower if in setting 2 for example).
