![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I wanted to know if anyone has run a staggered setup of 19x8.5 Front and 20x10 rears on their R230 chassis. I am currently running 20x8.5 upfront with 245/30/20 pirelli P zero tires, but I am considering dropping back down to 19's after damaging to front wheels
I would be interested in any feedback from fellow AMG owners on this subject.
Thanks,
Kyle

Thank you for the response... I was considering going up to a 255/30/20 on the fronts, but im thinking I would be better off just putting a 19" wheel upfront and forgoing the headaches of bent wheels.

MBWorld Fanatic!
30 is too thin for a r230. the car is too heavy. You are very likely to break the wheel unless you are just crusing around town with the car, not going on adventurous drives

I also run 255/35 x 19 in the front (Michelin Pilots).
Hit some unavoidable nice NY potholes, no problem I'm glad to report.
Mercedes AMG wheels, not aftermarket.
The strongest wheels you can buy are on the CLK DTM, impossible to find.

If you have brand wheels and run 40psi on the front a 30 series tires on the front are not a problem on 20" rims. I run 20x10 on the front and 20x11 in the back with 315 series tires and my car is lowered. As long as you are careful where you drive and keep 40 psi in the front and 42 in the back- you should be good.
