Thanks again I found a SL65

Again, I want to thank you all for all your help, my search was a success. Now I just wonder how many cars were made in this color?

On one other question - I know this may sound dumb but - how do you remove the engine cover?

Thanks,

Dave

Congrats on the new car.

On the metal cover, pull up on the front part closest to you and then it will slide out of the two pegs in the back near the coolers. Then i usually just pull up on the front and sides of the carbon cover to remove it as well.

Thanks, Aaron,

I saw the two pegs in the back but wasn't sure if the CF cover was attached to the metal cover or not. Thanks for your response.

I used to do all the work on my last car and just wanted to make sure I did it right because CF is expensive. Thanks, again.

Dave

I attached a pic of my last car's engine, and I did all the work on it including the polishing and powder coating. r/D.

Thank you Capn,

The color is very different from what I normally see on the SL65's and I liked it and was able to get the stars all to align.

The only two things I have to do is sell one of our Harley Screamin Eagle V-Rods (in the Spring) and find two people who are looking to buy a house, in Northern Virginia so I can refer them to my Wife who is a Realtor/Broker (I guess that is 3 things) and I'll be out of the dog house regarding this purchase - at least until the next purchase.

So I was talking to the Military and a few of my buddies where I work to let them know, so hopefully that will work.

Thanks again,

Dave

You only have to refer two people to buy a house and sell your Harley for the SL65. I'd say you still made out on that deal haha.

Very nice Dave and judging by the work on your 3000GT, I can see you getting it tuned in the near future.

Well it's not as easy as referring, I have to find two people to buy a house. A little tougher but in our area with folks moving in an out it shouldn't be that hard. Even though the Administration didn't change there is still some turn over of workers every four years.

As for tuning and performance mods that is a consideration but on my 3000 it was all done once I paid it off, might take a little longer with this one.
