Honestly Andrew I don't want this thread to turn into another one of those great debates on the "looped fuel rail" subject so we will just say I am on the fence about the entire subject. Will it help maybe... will hit hurt probably not... is it truly necessary I don't think so. If you read a recent thread in this forum from either cal1, amok, or OZ you will find them discussing the fuel delivery system itself & with that my friend I think they may be onto something.

Phase II

Taking it to IPS Motorsports (Ohio's Eurocharged dealer) for my second round of mods:

168mm C/S Pulley, Smaller S/C Pulley, Billet W/P & 4th Idler Pulley, Gates HD Green Belt, Kleemann Headers, 200 Cell Race Cats, Prime Cats & Resonators Deleted, ABC Valve Blocks cleaned & new seals added, New ABC Filter, Lowering links installed, Rotor Hats Coated Black, Stainless Brake Lines, ATE Blue Racing Brake Fluid, & "A" Pillar Gauge Pod with Dual AeroForce Gauges.

I wasn't thrilled with the coating we originally did on my supercharger so that is coming back off & officially going to be powder coated

Also while it is at IPS I am going to have my calipers sent to Wheel Medic for a complete make over... color undecided BUT I am now really leaning toward the curved AMG logos

168mm C/S Pulley - I sent my OEM Pulley to Shardul & he had ASP convert it to 168mm:

EC Smaller S/C Pulley:

I had ASP Billet Twin Idler & Tensioner installed last summer when I had my EC 180mm C/S Pulley installed so I figured I might as well match up whatever else I could to them...

ASP Billet Water Pump & 4th Idler Pulley:

Figured I better upgrade the belt to so I got the Gates HD Green one:

I also had Jerry hook me up with a set of Kleemanns:

I got in on the AF Gauge group buy & then had Shardul put them in a custom Alcantara "A" Pillar Pod:

I know the SLR has one, which is where the mod came about on the 55 cars. My understanding was it equalized the pressure and kept #8 happy..

Ill have to read that thread to see what info they came up with

I am still waiting on IPS to make room to get me in for my engine mods

So I am going back to screwing with exterior & interior mods while I am waiting... installed tinted tails last weekend I will post pics soon.

if i was closer i'd help ya toss all that stuff on. minus the welding of the exhaust it would be a pretty quick install.
wish i hadn't already purchased my gauges. your pillar gauges are going to look good!

Me too brother... me too!

I bought an extra set of bezels for the gauges to get CF converted... doing my interior trim in CF & not sure if I want the bezels silver of CF so since they screw on & off I'll have both!

I didn't know that ASP made that water pump pulley, That'll look good with the rest of them matching.

Alright my build has been a terrible nightmare... some of you know the story & some of you don't & I am not posting all the details BUT since Phase I didn't get me where I wanted & Phase II has been a month in the making to no avail I have decided to go a completely different route I am sending her to Jerry to have everything done right & taking my mods to a different level... My question for all of those that give two ****s is delete this thread & start a new EC build thread or keep this one & add to it as things progress?

What happened? The posted mods should have given you some very good power.

PM sent

I can't get into the best local shop to get the rest of my mods done because either they are too busy or they are pissed at me about Steve either way I don't really care anymore. I have been talking to Jerry about this & that & he prolly jokingly said send me your car & I will make it perfect... I said if you are serious I will... the rest is soon to be history!

Houston we have a problem

Phase "Eurocharged"

Phase II never went down & my car is officially going to Houston!

What will be done... hell what won't
  • 168mm C/S Pulley
  • Smaller S/C Pulley
  • Billet W/P & 4th Idler Pulley
  • Gates HD Green Belt
  • Kleemann Headers
  • Prime Cats & Resonators Deleted
  • Quaife LSD
  • 3000 Stall Torque Converter
  • Trunk Tank
  • ABC Valve Blocks cleaned, new seals & filter
  • Lowering links installed
  • Calipers "RE" painted & curved AMG logos added
  • Rotor Hats painted Black
  • Supercharger "RE" painted Black
  • Stainless Brake Lines, ATE Blue Racing Brake Fluid
  • "A" Pillar Gauge Pod with Dual AeroForce Gauges
  • some other misc stuff
  • Hands on "Jerry" tune(s)
While there all the work from Phase I will be completely inspected & some things will be corrected that were not done correctly
example: no gaskets were added to the top & bottom of the phenolic spacers, supercharger has to come out to fix this one... BIG OOOOPS!
I will keep this thread alive with the progress as Chris suggested.

Pics & maybe some videos will follow as this progresses. And yes the DYNO results

Awesome. How long is it estimated to take? I'm curious to see what you think of the 3k stall converter in a 100% street car.
