SL55AMG + SL600 + E320 + A180
I can't begin to tell everyone how impressed I am with John @ EC... He is advising me on everything good & bad with my car & he really knows his stuff! I went in for my long awaited mods to be installed (correctly) & after I added a few more John decided to give the entire engine & tranny some TLC 
New motor mounts, new tranny mount, new front & rear drive line disc, new seals & gaskets everywhere
Last year I sent Jerry my TCU for tuning & noticed it was full of tranny fluid, John found it... a bad tranny solenoid connector.

You will have to check the MB part number on the solenoids ...... you can not rely on the color only.

I am very happy with the progress, professionalism, passion, attention to detail thus far from John, he sends me pics & explanations on every little thing that is being done or should be done. I couldn't ask for more from the guy

When you guy's are at it, then you should change the little rubber sealing for the selector lever ........ it's number 33a ................. and check also if you have a magnet in the oil pan - in some of the first models there were non ....

The heads are installed, timing set and ready for cams. Will have bolts for cam bearing retainers on Monday. Valve covers on to keep stuff out of engine. New motor mounts installed and first coat of paint on super charger (will have several). Headers mocked. Will see if they can be installed before putting power plant back in car. (May need to be installed after power plant is in the car).

-- will you be heat protecting them in any way? ... to keep the heat away from the engine bay ....

Lots of progress last week 
Cams are installed:
Tranny taken apart, solenoids upgraded, new filter, new gasket & new magnet added:
Rear end reassembled & reinstalled:
Rotor hats, vents & outer edge with a fresh coat of black, Stainless brake lines installed:

))) every thing is coming together nicely))) You will get a up-to-date - and hopefully - a reliable car there if you follow the line of accuracy and attention to details as you have done until now
You should also examine the two flex rubber disks between the transmission and the rear ....... you will have to clean them properly to see if they are worn or not ....... - the one nearest to the transmission seems to be most under stress but it's not easy to see just by a glance .... acutely it comes more to light with close-up pics. and then on a laptop screen .....

I am starting to seriously doubt it will make it to Timmayfest
After last nights updates & the fact that Jerry wants two days for tuning plus 3-4 days for shipping & then the work that still needs done when I get it back time just isn't on my side! However, I do have the other work lined up & I did take next Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday off so if I can get it by Tuesday/Wednesday it will be there I haven't completely given up yet & I do have faith in the EC boys so we will see.

Reassembly is supposed to be completed today & should go on the Dyno tonight or tomorrow... we will see & I will post up more pics & hopefully some numbers in the next day or two

I went ahead & started more exterior mods today... I ordered an OEM 2009 SL63 rear bumper & a RevoZport CF RBS diffuser with ground effects
