Anyone have luck contacting Speedriven yet?...

I called twice today June 5th during normal business hours and got the same answering machine... I thought they were supposed to be back up and running June 1st?

Has Anyone spoken to Marcin lately...

Marcin is a great guy and I understand he is extremely busy, but he installed my exhuast crooked and the passenger side is still vibrating against the rear diffuser.

I have tried calling several times as well as emails and have not gotten any responses back. I can understand not wanting to take on new projects, but how about fixing something that wasn't done right in the first place? I've taken it in twice before to try and fix the problem (Marcin usually tries tightening it), but the problem keeps returning.

I find it very unfortunate that an existing customer cannot get a response to a problem generate from a Speedriven installation.

If the shop really knows their stuff, there comes the time when they simply cannot keep-up with the workload. At that stage, shop should either expand or stop advertising/taking orders.
Logical solution would be to hire more staff, but finding proper personnel is close to impossible - I know because my shop is in the same situation. I just cannot find a good MB Tech nor I would trust anyone without a good MB knowledge to be in charge of this forum.

I am pretty much in the same boat as Marcin - I simply do not have time for the forum. The only reason people on the forum still get response from me is I have very knowledgeable assistant and I can spend time running the business. Regardless of all this, I think I will stop the forum sponsorship shortly and will concentrate on existing clients and those, who are contacting me from the word of mouth and not the forum. 80% of the folks on this board are simply taking sponsor's time because they have nothing better to do. BBQs and meets are great, but we have work to do and, in my case, I prefer to get the work done rather than spending time entertaining the crowd. I know Marcin is in the same situation as me so here is your answer.

Igor.

No, I did not. You ? This is the exact reason I am not offering SpeedRiven products at this stage.

BTW, sponsorship has nothing to do with being able to offer services or advice on this board. All sponsorship allows is business advertizing, so I am always around and my shop is open for business.

Igor.

Marcin was Reliable, Trustworthy and Super Honest! Why the Meltdown?

I do NOT get it??

Marcin was one of the most Reliable, Trustworthy and Honest guys I have ever dealt with... His products were the best. Why the meltdown? Did he have health, money, legal or family issues?

Is it possible that he has so much local business that he can totally burn his bridges on such a public forum and subject himself to the wrath of the internet?

I would think that he certainly owes no one an explanation as to what happened to him personally, but at least a response to emails for the ones he actually owes goods/services to would be in order.

And I said before a simple "SPEEDRIVEN is ON VACATION" would quiet the nay sayers for a while... But on vacation for over 8 months is a bit too long?

Perhaps rumors of the untimely death are greatly exaggerated but I guess RIP condolences are in order for Speedriven at this point...

Damn shame...

I had last week...
He answer me that the heat exchanger is not ready but the another parts is.
We decide he leave the heat exchanger alone and send me the another parts straight away..... and he promise to do that.
Now I'm only waiting fot the tracking number....

I have never seen a business operate like this.
Not one email returned, no post on any forum, not one phone call answered..makes you wonder if anyone is even listening to the messages at all.
This is the complete opposite of who they really were.

Where is the Speedriven we all knew about a few years ago ?!?!

But then again...this is America. Anybody can operate their own business the way they want to. There is no right or wrong way of doing business. If Speedriven believes this is the right way, then so be it. That's how they want to roll. Just where did all the courtesy go?

Anyways, lets see what happens...

Although I am generally in agreement with what you are saying I can also understand the situation that the shop has gotten in to. It is easy for many of us to judge and say how we may have handled the situation but until we are in his shoes we should not judge.
The shop is so busy that I have to wait a month to get a simple secondary cat delete.
If they have everyone working on cars and projects I can understand where the priority would be. Finishing up what's in the garage and worry about the rest right after.
Again, not for me to judge. I'm not in their shoes.

Well the rumors of his demise are greatly exaggerated. Marcin called me today and we are moving forward on some larger intercoolers for my SL65...

They have been swamped with business lately, and I just talked to one of my friends who has been working with them. It's basically a 3 guy operation from what he's told me, and they are working hard to finish all their work. They are alive and well, in fact so well that they are having a hard time keeping up. They definitely need some extra help, although they aren't quite able to afford it yet. It's a crappy position to be in for sure, they need someone but can't quite afford anyone.
