Exactly.........even if you believe the so called +15hp that you hear bandied about, theres pretty much zero chance you will feel that on a 500hp car on the butt dyno.........
and if your butt is that sensitive see a doc for IBS........

Well I hate to disagree but I have just put K&N in my 2013 SL63 and I can
feel and hear a difference. If anything it felt slower until I realised I was going faster in certain places than before. The reason is the engine feels smoother more effortless than before. I do think they make more different
on a Turbo engine that is force fed .

I just installed AFE pro dry and I can tell you there is more intake noise and exhaust sounds deeper. It does seem to be smoother as well.
But I did charcoal delete as well so combination was probably the bigger difference.

Surely a less restrictive air filter will make some difference, particularly
supercharged and turbo motors rather less on nat *** engines. I agree
there are other bottlenecks but there rather costly to fix, and filters are
cheap and easy to fit.

I just put in some green filters in my car yesterday. I have some issues with my car right now so not sure how much will be driving it and not sure will notice much of a difference. But the filters are washable and fit perfect ,better than k and n from my past experience.

You should do a search for green filters in the W211 AMG section. I think 90% of the people hated it due to it almost always collapsing and the poor build quality.

Hmm seen tons of great reviews on the green filters all over the place not just company propaganda. They are used in Europe a lot of course. I would like to see some pics of these things collapsing and some of the other problems. I am not going to take mine out since just put them in but will monitor them every few months. I could link to lots of good reviews on them but most are short term done just after install.
So guess need to keep an open mind. Or not if see real evidence of bad product performance.

Ok did search and found pic so the Greens melting!
And some were from 2011 so likely they have not fixed the problem even on the newest ones and maybe I have old stock who knows. Would like to see what the Green guys who just posted on here are saying about this problem.
I was thinking if they were just drying out could maybe put some stuff on them like weatherstrip to keep them from drying out but if they are melting that is different problem and they seriously need to do something about it .
I was going to go with k and n and guess should have. I will for sure monitor these things at around 500 and 1000 miles and if see any of this happening will report back likely with pics and instantly remove them.
Too bad they looked nice and appeared to be good quality but looks can be deceiving..

I am thinking ditch them asap and get some k and n or bmc. Red is my favorite color! LOL
So anything bad about BMC ?

Hah, nothing bad about BMC. They were used in F1 cars for a long while. The best quality filters you can buy in my opinion. (and the most expensive!)
Edit: If you are going the BMC route, the correct part number for our cars is FB262/01

Ok got some bmc coming. Pricey but whatever. Will take those greens out as soon as the BMC show up. Not going to take chances after seeing those pictures that Green fixed up their filters.

Upate. I did finally get around to putting in the BMC filters which look great and fit great. I found zero wrong with my green filters and sure put at least 1000 miles on them this season so not sure if green fixed their problems or if they might go after more miles. I live in a hot place temps can go past 90 pretty frequently in the summer months. But as said my greens look perfect. Might put them in my ML350 pretty sure they are same filter in there.
I just bought 2007 911 turbo and going to be putting a BMC filter in it.

The K&N filters have oil in them, I have been told they would mess with my
air flow meter sooner or later, do BMC filters have oil in them, and where do you get them from.

Bmc have oil in them also but usually only problem with maf or other oil types if they have been over oiled. and not that hard to clean a maf air sensor although many times they try to scare you and say the oil will wreck the sensor when cleaning it is easy enough and almost always takes care of any problem.
I got my BMC off ebay. High quality, perfect fit. Likely get one for my newest toy my 911 turbo.
