Have seen a lot of discussions and dyno charts over the years for the different engines, but I would love to see the different tunes for the same engine put together in the same chart, so one can see the real difference.
Sometimes I wonder how big the difference really are on the power?
However I've tried the Speedriven tune, It's feel fast but are not made for real fast driving on the German autobahn only for acceleration as I've had different issues hereof. Some of these issues have been addressed somewhat, but lately (8 month) I can't get any contact with Speedriven, so I feel stock.
So now I will get a new and more reliable tune in near future, hence my question above.

I've got a CL600 with the speedriven ECU/TCU and i've had no issues and it definitely woke the motor up. I also just picked up an SL600 with what I was told is a Renntech chip. The SL600 is definitely faster but I'm assuming because of the weight. I plan to take the two cars to a dyno to see which one makes more power.Originally Posted by RNSL65

I tried to call Speedriven as well and haven't heard anything back unfortunately, because I will be buying some additional mods for the cars soon.
After al my problems with Spreedriven ECU + TCU tune and later no feedback at all from the company for 8-9 month - I finally went with a Kleemann ECU + TCU tune (see my other post about this).
There is big differences and after have being using both setups for some time, I can tell the Kleemann is absolute complete, reliable and a much much better tune. There is absolute no doubt that the Speedriven tune is not tested enough in real world environment (except maybe 1/4 mile testing) as I discovered several issues when driving highspeed and doing highspeed accelerations on the German autobahn. One issue was leveling out at 130-140 mph and then just slightly touching the accelerator to add just a bit more speed, the engine somehow closed down for a couple of seconds feeling like you stepped on the brakes. When releasing the accelerator, the engine "came" back on. Full throttle didn't bring forward the problem.
Two other issues are drivability and gas milage when driving at normal 55-65 mph, the Kleemann is far superior.

I have the Kleeman ECU/TCU upgrades and have been very happy with them...no issues except maybe needing rear tires sooner...

Your GTR has 1600hp? Holy crap. Any videos? You run it down the 1/4 yet?

Red Katana GT-R Version 1.0 (@1200whp/1400hp crank on C16)...8.97s @ 163mph ET
Red Katana GT-R Version 2.0 (@ 1400whp/1600hp crank on C16)...8.85 @ 166mph ET
@TX2k13...Go to 1:55s...my car is on the left.
Red Katana GT-R Version 3.0 (Flex Fuel version to run E98 and about 200lbs lighter)
Still Pending (waiting on stronger 1-6 gear set and new fuel system)...shooting for low 8's and 170mph+ ET...switching to flex fuel because its PITA to switch back and forth between 93 and race fuel.

Thx...Well back to OT...after Switzer gets done with my 997tt cab flex fuel E911 build they are going to do some testing and skunk works on my SL65.
I'll be the guinea pig to get more power/tq while addressing the inherent issues of engine management, tcu control, traction control (i.e. wheel slippage), and cooling. We will see what can be done...
The SL65 will be switched over to a new ECU platform...if successful with respect to efficiency and reliability then I foresee some 65/600 owners benefiting from the beta testing on my car. It'll be challenging to say the least.
At the very least, a ECU/TCU program may come out of Switzer Performance for folks who don't want to get into more complicated modifications.

ExploreThanks for sharing, and awesome info about potential V12 TT tuning. If you can pump well over 1000hp from your GTR with a TT V6, then 1000hp should really be easy to pump out of the TT V12.

Lukas...power increase is the easy part. The downstream issues that creep up with in the other components of the car also have to be addressed. A mild ECU/TCU bump from whoever (Renntech, Kleeman, Speedriven, etc...) wouldn't necessitate upgrading or fortifying other mechanicals.Originally Posted by LukasBMW

Well at least that is the case of my Kleeman ECU/TCU upgrade which I've been running for 4 yrs.
Instead of starting a new thread I thought I ask here, how much of a difference in gains does each tune have, speedriven/oe tuning/kleeman/dyno-comp/renntech/logic lab? Basically best bank for the buck or are they all similar gains?

For those who are interested. Here is a dynograph of before tuning vs OE Tuning ECU tune from a CL65 we dynoed last week on CA91 premium gasoline.
Baseline Peak Figures: 571wHp & 682wTq
Tuned Peak Figures: 615wHp & 788wTq
Gains of 50-60wHp & 100-110wTq depending on rpm.

This particular car has upgraded cooling. The delta shown is from the tune alone.Originally Posted by euphoriaDSM
Is that a tune alone or are there other mods?
