Very high fuel consumption
Hello mates,
I have read on many websites, and threads that the SL55 consumes on average 15 liters/100 km, however my car consumes 22 liters/ 100 km.. 18L/100KM highway, 26L/100KM city..
do you suggest changing spark plugs or may anything affect the consumption?

the 18 highway - what is your average speed? going over 130-140km/h with the occasional wot will give you the number you see..
if you feel you are using more gas than what you should and no codes and no drivability problems presented- have your engine adaptations reset as the car might have learned crap.
if that does not help - run a can or two of chevron techron and replace your air filters and fuel filter.

I drive between 70-100 on the highway, with some kick downs from time to time, but not too much.. like once or twice in a trip.
How can I reset the ECU?
I will use an injector cleaner soon.
