Ohh too bad, sorry to hear....Today would have definitely been a great day up here in the NE. Well you may have to make the trip to the MIR rental in 2 weeks and compete with some of the big boys. Either way, I still look forward to your 60-130 runs.

Yeah, thanks..I was bummed beyond bummed. Ordered the coil this morning...Shoulda just got the two, but can't right now..only a few more good weeks of driving anyway..I'll do the other one over the Winter. I'll go grab some plugs when the coil comes in. Turns out most people only got about 2 runs anyway...I suspect my 60-130 will be in the high 7's...maybe mid 7's if I leave the DR's on, as I already went an 8.16 hazing the street tires from 40-80.

Just trying not to junk up the other thread, I figured you'd find this here.
I had issues with the tranny going into limp when I launched hard in drive. The problem didn't occur when I put it in manual. The only thing is be sure to bring it back to 1M after the burnout so your not launching in 2nd or 3rd. Don't worry, your mph will be +/- 126 but the car will need 2-3 runs to adapt and it will pick up a little more each time.

I run dyno mode exclusively at the track. The only problem I get is after the run sometimes, it goes into limp and throws "imperceptible gear ratio". Maybe because my DR setup is a hair out of spec with the front overall diameter. Key cycle fixes it and away I go.....

I think dyno mode is a must at the track. The thing is last yr in dyno mode and drive I had a 1.58 sixty and then a hiccup going into second ruining a would be good run. After that trouble free in manual the rest of the day with four 10 sec passes.Everybody finds what works for them. If you find something you better let me know!!!

So you put it in manual, start your burnout, shift into 2nd during your burnout, pull up to the line, make sure it is in 1M. Powerbrake at 2k or so and let it go and just ease it out? Let the car shift in M by itself? It won't hit the limiter and bounce until you shift?

The beginning is correct, right up to the tree. I eventually got brave enough to powerbrake as much RPM as the brakes could hold (as it begins to push through around 2500-2600 rpms while standing on them)...lol I did not ease into it, I went full pedal into it releasing the brakes at the same time. At the time I didn't have the LSD so I wasn't always able to get both tires hot during burnouts. It was obvious when the above method would result in spinning 20 feet off the line. I'm sure sooner or later something is bound to break, but I did manage to get me to tie the quickest 60. ft time for all the V12TTs. Try your car on the street in manual mode just as a test you will see how it feels. Merging onto highways are always fun when you enter faster than the fast lane is moving. Maybe a few clicks on the steering wheel down to 2nd around 35mph and punch it to 90 you will should see it shift around 80mph. From what I remember it may only be for the V12tts, I know the E55's have to be shifted manually in manual mode. For me I'm curious to see if the LSD would pick up anything or just be consistent. I also wonder what I could shave off my 11.34 street tire time with the wider rubber and the LSD, for now I'm content on the streets. Well I hope that helps.

Had that happen too. Scared the **** out of me the first time it happened. I though the tranny blew but luckily it just kicks it out of gear. Stop the car, turn off, and then start. It's good to go. Mine would only happen if I put in manual mode and the wheels spun hard. I was running a Renntech ECU/TCU.

Hmmm. that's wierd...mine only does it in drive, also if I spin hard. Mine did it the first time at the track..right at the 1,2 shift...coasted to the 330..had no idea what happened. Now I know. It doesn't do it in dyno mode, so that's my solution.

OK..tough day. it was Chevy day at Atco. Only got 2 runs...first run, spun pretty bad...2nd pass spun..but not so bad...I think there is more in there...wait til next year I guess...

Hey for 2 passes I think you did real well nice MPH. The cars tend to get better as they adapt throughout the day. As you have already said, you sure should find a bit more next time around. Maybe go to MIR next week.

Thanks. I'm pleased. Power braked about 2k and eased it out..no full throttle until 2nd gear..and it hazed the tires like mad when it shifted 2nd...left it in dyno mode all day. No issues. Done for this year..Will have new DRs' for next year.

The only possible mods I am considering at this time are a trunk resevoir and maybe meth. Unfortunately both add weight...need to make sure the positives outweigh the negatives...

What type of drag radials were you using? I have M/T ET streets and always blamed a spin off the line on the open rear. When I had twice the smoke and really got them hot they would dead hook with no issues. The thing is they don't last with those types of burnouts though.

No, I didn't try manual mode. I knew I wasn't gonna get many passes and didn't want to gamble my passes away. I KNEW dynomode would work, so I stuck with it. My buddy gave me some old BFG TA drag radials. 275-35-18. Kinda beat, but better than my street tires. Pretty sure if I did a way more aggressive burnout, I would have stuck better. Once I saw smoke, I counted to 3 and rolled out...My buddy recorded both passes...I'll try to post them when I can.
