Not worth it imo, mileage is too high, was in an accident and three owners and seeing that the mileage is this high, I would def check on some parts as they would prob be ready to give out. I got my flist SL55 for $34,500 with only 32k miles one owner no accident and this was march of 2012 before i upgraded to SL65

AMG SL55
I bought my first SL55 with 65K on the clock, but I got it at a price where I had budget left to sort a few things on the car. As such I have 4 new OEM rotors, new OEM pads, reconditoned calipers, new engine and gearbox mounts and new trunk/rear seals.

The only thing after that is the dreaded ABC.... but that can go at pretty much any mileage so keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

I would say buy on condition rather than mileage. I have seen many a low mileage car that has been poorly cared for and many a high mileage that has been well cared for.... which one would you rather have?

Can you qualify "well cared for"? For 2003 cars with less than 30k miles, they were only driven on average 3k miles per year so the only trips to the dealer would be for an oil change or repair of some sort. What would you expect to see in the service history?

Your local MB dealer can run the vin# and give you a history on the car.

Probably not close to you (you never posted where you are), but you might consider this one. I think he's down to $34k or so.

I know the owner of this car, and I've driven it. I drove it in stock(ish) form, before the massive build and it was buttoned up just fine. I remember it being clean inside and out, but I haven't seen it in a while. I think it has a warranty too, so any ABC, vario roof, and electro gizmos should be covered for a while. The owner is a car guy, owns a bunch of cars including a 911 GT2 and Aston DB9, both of which, I've been in and those cars are spotless, so.....

I know he sunk a ton into the build and drove it back across the country when it was done. I haven't seen the car since the build though, so can't speak to the mods done.
