Being a bike guy too, I have a hard time believing that car was NA...ESPECIALLY if it was a liter bike. You need 650-700WHP to beat up on a liter bike that bad. Less at that speed, but nonetheless...more than any NA car has.

not really. bikes feel fast, but at high speeds the roll ons are really not that impressive. this comes from a guy with a zx14 and a 540 cid v8 bike with over 600hp and 800tq....

a properly geared (dense) high rpm car with 600hp moves very well at high speeds.

remember, at very high speeds weight plays little role. it is all drag and torque to the ground (gearing x tq aka hp) and a car has excellent drag and usually way more power than a bike

As I said, I agree for the most part, and I dragrace and landspeed bikes too...but I just don't believe you will pull away as fast as that car did with a NA car..sorry.
MY reasoning is: I've raced liter bikes with my old 600whp 996 turbo (that weighed 3350 with me in it) and it was a pretty good race froma 60 roll, and I did pull away after 110-120 or so...but there was no way I could pull away from a liter bike like that, even at those speeds. Whatever it was, still pretty impressive, OR the bike was a 600, not a 1000 as suggested. 600cc bikes are not even a race for 450-500whp cars.......

Btw the bike on the video is clearly an r1 with almost 14k redline. The r6 has 17500 redline.

@ttboost

In my opinion they are nearly equal in the video, even above 250 KM/H. The SL only pulls away at the end of the video where the bike goes out of revs.

I agree with alx, above lets say 250 KM/H or 280 KM/H the excellent drag of the SL in combination with HP gives even a liter bike a hard time. I have experienced this also in my SL65 on the German Autobahn.

I almost would have to think it was the 5.5 twin-turbo with upgrades too with that kind of pull on top. but i could be wrong, never driven or even seen one in person. but looking at the numbers, seems u can get more hp/torque with the tt one. i think they look really sweet too.

2012 C63 AMG, 1991 325iS. Ex: 2011 C63 P31
Judging by the speed and revs, I'd say its an R1.
