Speedriven SL65 Big Turbo

Here's our big turbo SL65 kit. Our first test's were good but shy 4/5psi from our goal. The car dyno'ed at 800whp and 900wtq with half race/pump gas at 21psi. We are going to be testing it tomorrow at 25/26 psi, Hoping for 900whp. Below is a graph and some teaser vids. Enjoy!

You guys are killing it!!

PS you forgot to post up that vid clip from YouTube you sent me.. Here..

PS When will you be able to ship my big turbo kit? Lastly if you hit 900 rwp will Dedicated E-85 Race tune easily make 1000-1100 rwhp?

I've seen Turbo/Supercharged cars add 100-200 rwhp/rwtq by just adding E-85 Tunes etc
For Comparo reasons didnt Soulsearchers older Tech turbos make 740-750 rwhp & that Combo achieved 197.7 mph in the 1 Mile event. Holy krap this new kit should be good for 200+ mph in the MILE

We have 24's in stock form Lol pump your brakes buddy GT30's Next they'll be working on GT35's should make a lot more hp/tq though bit of lag too. Though it'll minimal, if it adds like I think it will 150-200 more rwhp I'll buy them too..

I know our turbos are K24's..been dealing with them on my old 996 turbo...18g and 20g are fairly inexpensive upgrades for them, that have proven results. Wasn't sure if they were done on this car too... Speedrivens' website advertises a "compressor upgrade", which is basically an 18g or 20g upgrade..that's why I asked. What GT30? 3076? 3071?

I really ask myself why this mod, wich is fairly common in the P-World, is so unusual on M275 mercs...

This is a question I have been asking since I have been considering my car. I guess I finally got an answer..as vague as it was.

Are there members out there with this compressor upgrade? Any numbers to share?

Do a search on user SoulSearcher. Silver sl600 upgraded by Speedriven. A few years ago. Lots of info and pics from a few yes ago....I'm sure the boys have been tweaking and smoothing things out since then. Malone performance also spoke of upgraded turbos but has since been banned. You may find something info if you dig.

Also very impressed with Speedrivens progress. Marcin continues to prove the m275 capabilities. Looking forward to seeing this set up perform. Congratulations!

Nice, very impressive! Any plans on having this SL out at MIR in two weeks? I predict some M113 records are going to fall, some M156 records are going to fall so why not some new records out of the big V12?

Nice! Congratulations. Would be great to see it perform in the whole mile. Any guess what HP it would be with 93 Pump gas only?

While the center section is shared with the P-cars the manifolds on the M275 are another story. We do have options for a billet wheel upgrade and the gains are pretty good for a pump gas car. Only issue is people don't want to spend the labor on pulling motors for a stock turbo upgrade. On a 996 swapping a billet upgrade is a matter of couple hours, not so on a Benz.

Unfortunately this car will not be making it down to MIR. Any day here it will be getting picked up and taken back home to its owner.

There is a chance we might have another car at mir though, but no promises as it still need some work before its ready for a trip.

The owner of the SL is only a couple hours away from where the Texas mile is held and there is a good chance the car will be at the next event. We are also planning on having another white Benz at the next mile even.

High 600s on pump is no issue for the car, any higher than that and the risk of detonation is to great to push the motor any higher.

Thanks for the response. And I agree on the turbo swap on the 996 being a tad easier. Have you guys done just compressor upgrade? And it is the 18g or 20g wheel? I have no problem taking my own turbos out and having them upgraded..I just want to know what kind of power has anyone obtained just from that? My guess is 20-40whp at the same boost? I figure that, with Meth, would be a worthwhile upgrade for about 75-100whp...

A 600 with our coolers, billet turbos, and injectors is good for low 600s at the tire, a 65 with same mods is good for high 600s at the tire. The benefit of the billet upgrade is the boost stays linear and doesn't taper off like with stock turbos.

Ok, so it's the comp side that makes it derail, not the turbine side...

So stock 65 injectors are done after 600whp? (on what dyno)
