On the tinted side of the Pano roof I notice today there is bubbling. Anyone know how easy/hard this is to fix if I take it to my tint guy??
The car was tinted when I got it, pretty sure its factory.

Thanks~
Are you talking about the actual glass pano roof or small black pieces left/right from the rear window?Originally Posted by DangeRuss

If it's just the two covers, you replace them easily; they are just clipped on (see post #43 https://mbworld.org/forums/sl-class-...project-2.html)

Have someone wrap the piece with vinyl. They can make it look like new for hardly anything.

They done the same on my SL55, it's an easy cheap quick job.
Actually they are stuck on, I waited at Mercedes for mine to be done,
I was driving home in an hour.

You mean the dealership replaced them???
What about a carbon fiber wrap? Might look kind of cool.

The dealer replaced mine at about $75.00 or so apiece. My service advisor actually did it himself while i waited. I watched. He retracted the roof halfway to gain access to each side glass panel, un-clipped and then re-clipped them back into position in all of about 10 minutes for both sides.

My SL55 was a 2003 same as yours, and I think these were glued on.
Later ones could have been clipped.

so 2003's can't be replaced? I was thinking a carbon fiber wrap. But, i would have to see one done. I'm 75% sure it wouldn't look like i want it to. Being that close to an actual cf rear spoiler. hmmm.....???Originally Posted by sound 8
