My 2013 SL63 TT- Lowered- Klassen M51R Wheels- Pics
Well finally some shots of this car!!!!!! This is my 8th AMG and 3rd M157 engine and what a brilliant engine it is. The sound, the power, the pull!!!! And my first vert ever and I always said I would only get a hard top. The car has the PP package (557hp and 664hp) and the special order AMG upgraded suspension.
I did a few mods:
Lowering- thanks to Benzworks in Huntington Beach. Simple Fast Easy.
Exhaust- resonator removal Benzworks again. This simple mod gives the car about 20% more sound
Wheels- Klassen M51R- thanks to Frank for the quick build- Double Dark Tint is the finish 20x9 and 20x11 on PSS tires.
OE Tuning Intermediate Tune- thanks to Jeremy again for all the service over the years. 570hp and 660tq on a Dyno Dynamics at the wheels on 91 octane.

Been waiting to see this, thanks for sharing
Can you comment a little more about this car versus some of the others in your stable? As always, very nice drop and wheels.

Its quite a straightline machine but with the reduction in weight over the R230 you can actually toss it around a little more too in the turns. Of course the weight is still felt but the steering is improved over my 2012 CLS and E AMG's. It feels just more connected from the wheel. The ABC is still fluffy, to me, but with the upgraded AMG suspension (special order over the normal AMG), there noticeable less body roll than the stock SL63 which I borrowed for a full day before sourcing this beast. With all that being said its still a GT cruiser at best and not a true sports car nor is that its intent with the vert but I appreciate its brutal power delivery and exhaust note. Whats also nice is BPU's (basic performance upgrades) such as exhaust and lowering are easily done in less than 1 hour. This car wont out handle my R8 V10 but it will pull it in a straight line. The 991 TT-S is out of this league though in handling and power. The SL is a classy GT beast- very nice lines and just a great all arounder to me. I can see why alot of guys who have done the AMG driving event liked this car the best or felt it surprised them the most.

Doin it right Vic!
Still not a fan of new headlights on the latest SL but your tasteful mods make everything else look badazz Fat rear tires look legit amazed they're 20"s
PS does it have the Carbon Ceramic rotors too

Love it. Nice tasteful mods with the classic SL styling cues still showing through. I must say the front of the R231 is not my favorite part of the car. Not sure how much of the new European pedestrian crash standards has forced the look though.

I think the crash standards are largely responsible for the recent upright design language of the front of AMGs now. I am not happy about it. I personally much prefer the slope angle on the front of the R230 SL

Agreed.. But no excuse for bugeyed Dodge Charger style headlights... Did they try to save $ on the headlight facelift & farm it out to Chris Bangle? Lol

Thanks for the comps guys--- I agree with the headlights but the rest of car is impressive and once an easier source comes out for euro lights Ill get them... if I keep the car long enough.

Thanks guys again.... I think at this point Im gonna have the fronts redone for a little more concavity. This was a trial run on the forging when Klassen first made this wheel...
Or should I go with a three piece with gold matte centers and polished lips??
