Stall torque converter

I'm replacing the front transmission pump and TQ in my 55. I'm considering a stall converter and was wondering if anyone has used one and what the pros and cons are.

Thanks in advance.

+1 Finished the install a couple days ago, she pulls like a freight train and the launch from dead stop is unreal for such a heavy car.

I'm planning on that, new S/C pulley and the ECU tune. I'm going to wait until this Texas heat is gone in a few months and drive to Eurocharge in Houston.

I'm curious how part throttle launches and general drivability is with this mod? I like my SL to behave pretty much like a stock SL, that is, until I want to unleash it. Rule of thumb for me is to have the wife drive the car after a particular mod and when I ask her if she notices a difference, she gives me a strange look and says nope.

Drivability is about the same, a little different with mine until about 2k but very little. Part throttle hits like a rocket, or as much as a two ton car can hit like a rocket. That being said it's not a mod that's easily undone.

Thinking about doing a Stall Converter and wondered if you're still happy with you setup.
