2006 SL55 with 030 Performance Package
New SL63 AMG?
I think a 2005 or 2006 SL63 AMG is coming with a non supercharged new V8 pumping out 550 to 625HP engine.
Anyone know anything about it?
I wonder how it will compare to the SL65 V12 AMG
The SL63 V8 AMG is going to replace the SL55 from what I understand.

i'm picking up the car in 5 days... can't wait!!!
as for the option, i don't quite remember. i think i have ventilate seat (how come it's not on the order list??), keyless go... i was gonna pick up one with the glass roof, but i'm afraid it's gonna be too hot in the summer in LA. and didn't like the wood inside... mine has the silver alu trim, love it!
i'll post some pics when i get the car for sure!
btw, i just read there is going to have a DVD nav upgrade + some minor things. i was thinking to wait for them but i just can't wait to get the car. am i making the right choice?

The point is the current 5.5 liter engine is going to be replaced by a new series of 4 valve per cylinder V8 engines.
So the SL63 will have the new non supercharged 6.3 liter 4 valve engine producing 550HP to 600HP
Do not get this confused with the V12 S63 and CL63AMG that was out a year ago in Europe only.
The SL55 would be replaced by the new non supercharged 4 valve 6.3 liter AMG engine making it the SL63 AMG.
The new series of engines will debut in the new S class in 2006.
I would think model year 2005 or 2006 for the SL63 V8 AMG
Time will tell if these rumors come true.

I got lucky, it was kind of a mistake.
I wonder if mine is the only 2003 SL55 in the U.S. this color.
It looks great!! Iove it!
I know people have tried to special order Silver Arrow in the U.S. with no luck on a SL55.

I know, for some reason the U.S. market does not get the same custom ordering as Europe.
You can pay $1000 and get another U.S. color and a very limited options that very from the standard.
It would be great if MBUSA offered the same custom ordering as Europe.
