SL63 Shudder

I have been considering replacing my 2005 SL55 and I test drove a 2009 SL63 P30 with 46K on the clock. I noticed a bit of shudder during a standing start. I've seen others report the same issue and some say it is the LSD, some say the MCT. Is shudder generally recognized as 'normal' for a MCT/P30?

For those that have driven both SL55 and SL63, how would you compare them?

the 09 probibly had a bad torque converter, and bad motor and trans mounts, they all cause the shutter, make sure its fixed or has a cpo warrantee before you buy it. starting in s or s+ relieves it alot

Thanks. Will definitely do a PPI if I move on it. BTW, no torque converter in an SL63 - wet clutch.

I have had 2 x 63, an 09 and now a 10 , with wide body kit. The gearbox
is a bit highly strung, sometimes it jerks, sometimes you can't select
between c,s, s+ or manual, oh it shudders sometime. However when
you get your foot down the g/box is amazing, it seems to know exactly
what gear you want by your foot input.
Compared to the 55 I think it's more fun, makes a much better sound and
with both stock I think the 63 is slightly quicker due to gear change.

Not sure there is an answer. I've seen others talk about shudder, and the MCT seems to be most often blamed, although it ranges from MCT, to LSD, to engine/tranny mounts.

One issue is that the dealers don't seem to know what to do, warranty or not. I got the service records for the '09 I test drove, and it's been in 3 times for the shudder. MB updated the software on one visit, and replaced the valve body in the tranny on another, yet I noticed it was still there just by simply pulling off the lot.
