About to purchase a 2007 SL65. Does any after market warranty cover these cars? Any experience? Thanks

Hi. I negotiated an after market warranty with the dealer I bought my car from. It was about $5200 for 3 and 36 all inclusive. It has a $250 deductible if I don't use the selling dealership. If I use them, there is no deductible.

call several dealerships and find out what they can offer. You will see a big difference in prices and what they cover.

No dealer offers Mercedes benz warranty that I find. It would be aftermarket and I would just have to shop that out. Buying from an individual

all the dealers near me offer MB warranty and aftermarket warranty I myself would never take an after market warranty because of the bad experience I had with one years ago. The dealers here try and sell you the aftermarket rather than the MB one because they make more money selling them and most of them cost you if you do not use the dealership you bought it from. So they are guaranteed your business

I have an aftermarket warranty I bought from the mercedes dealer that does my car maintenance not where I bought the car. I also have a 2007 SL65.

I paid $5200 for 4/48 with no deductible regardless of where I get the work done and it also covers the suspension.

I would never buy an AMG vehicle without a warranty. You will cry blood.

Warranty company has paid out nearly $20 grand in less than year and a half of ownership.

I called several of places and I was able to get wanted auto protect to give me a 5 yr 100k mile warranty on my 03 SL 55. It only cost 2100 and I homestly don't know what they were thinking giving me that kind of deal. I have already covered my cost of the warranty. I would be curious to see what they quote you. My car has 83k on it btw.

When I bought my 05 last month, the Porsche dealer offered an aftermarket warranty for over $8000. I declined that. I'd be interested in suggestions on a good and reasonably priced company to inquiry with.

jrmat1, can you pm me with the company you went with? I only found two or three that would even consider my car (2008 SL55) when I got it 7-8 months ago and after reading the fine print too many things were excluded.

You want to buy through a large mercedes dealership or it will always exclude the items you need protected the most. Shop around. You should be able to get a no deductible, 4 year 48K for around 5K and covers everything but things like brakes and oil.

Just cruising this section as I am thinking about an SL 55 and thought I would chime in. I have a USAA warranty on my CLK 63 and 55. I don't know if anyone else will cover AMG cars or if you need a military connection to make the purchase. The warranty itself is through Assurant Solutions and it has no deductible and very few exclusions.

2 year 24K on the 63 was 2,680
2 year 24K on the 55 was 2,356

What is the name of the company you got the warranty?

I called the only two near me. One 65 miles away and the other almost 120. Both basically the same price. I cant get much further or the towing bill or drive are to restrictive

Thats why I am very scared of after market. To many restrictions, and often dealers wont accept them as payment
