Exclamation Replaced Front right strut on SL65 amg?

I have a question. I just had front right strut replaced( was leaking). Warranty has covered it. My issue is that the one side that strut was replaced sits almost an inch higher(22mm to be exact) then the left one and all the rear ones. I had shop take a look at it in they said they could not find anything wrong with it. They recalibrated the suspension and soon as they drove the car it went back to starting point. The only thing they think it is, that right side is new and left is old and compressed. They didn't find anything wrong with it but they are suggesting to replace it. Any of you that have struts replaced on there cars had some issues like that? Please let me know ASAP. Thanks

The strut itself does not control the suspension height.

The suspension height is controlled by the external lever arm level sensor that links to the upper wishbone.

Its not the strut, but I'm sorry, I can't suggest what the problem is. It sounds like height calibration, but that shouldn't be affected by replacing the strut. they must have done something else.

I've noticed this several times when working on the car and jacking up just one side. Return car to ground/level spot, start engine. Cycle the ride height, Ending at lowest position, and car is sitting level again. then key off and restart the car, all is well and the level doesn't go off once the car is driven (otherwise without key off/restart I've found it will return to the off-level stance)

The new vs old struts can't cause this, our cars are self-leveling with a hydraulically actuated suspension. There is a standard coil spring in each strut, however even if the coil in the other side is worn/weaker the ABC will just increase pressure to that strut to raise the height and level car.

Since your ride height has been 'recalibrated' it may need to be set once again. They may have bent the height adjustment arm when changing the strut?? Make sure the suspension height is set on a flat, level surface. Car loaded normally. Adjust each corner to the vehicle height required (measure at fenders) not by the height sensor readings on screen in star. I think the Actuations have to be saved/applied to actually stay. I haven't adjusted my height through star and instead have adjustable links. I'm sure someone here has more info.
You may want a dealer to do it / tech more proficient in operating star system.
