Nope it doesn't.

The topics been beaten to death. The AMG badging belongs on anything MB says it should.

I don't care if MB say that, all they want to do is advertise a brand, that doesn't mean it BELONGS on the car, how can you possibly justify that, when it doesn't have the technology like a factory built AMG car? You can't.

Brabus gives you the Brabus emblems after you have a certain number of Brabus mods done to your car and they are a lot more exclusive than AMG is. I guess Brabus is making a mistake in branding as well. Same goes for any MB tuner for that matter.

If the car has had Brabus upgrades ie supension, engine etc then fair enough.

Adding a bodykit onto your MB doesn't make it an AMG. Are you an MB or AMG owner? Why do you want to make out your car is better than it is by sticking on misleading badges?

You dont need engine upgrades to qualify for Brabus badging just like AMG.

What does irk me if some poser puts himself up as a 32/55/65 AMG when they really are not. As long as its marked S500 //AMG it is fine, if its factory badging whats the big deal.

Yes I do own an MB two in fact and no none of them have the AMG badging on them.

Like I said MB if its the ONE WHO STICKS THE BADGES ON then its fine. I have a friend or two who ordered S320s with the AMG package and it came direct from the factory with the //AMG badging on it., doesn't bother me one bit.

As I mentioned in an earlier post - it doesn't bother me as much as it used to. I have seen a couple of S320 with an AMG on them and just internally chuckle.
I did laugh out loud when I saw what was probably an new S430 (w220) that had the numbers changed to S600 and then they put the v12 badge on the back door/roof post as in old w140. Oh well. Life does go on.

Ill just make my thoughts crystal clear regarding this topic, if you have an AMG badge on a non AMG car then you will look like a prat. If you have put the AMG badge on yourself then you are a posing idiot with an inferiority complex.

I have no problem with people who put AMG bodykits and wheels on their normal MB, I think they look great, but leave/take the badge off you clowns.
