I'll have more pictures and details tomorrow/Monday, but I think you'll agree that these definitely look the part! Direct-replacement coilover PKG for the R230 SL55 AMG, SL63 AMG, and SL65 AMG.

Any plans for coming out with something for the R231 platform since ABC became a $4k option in '13 and very, very few have it. Would be an awesome option to be able to lower them without having to go with extra firm aftermarket short sport springs.

As soon as we have an R231 customer who is interested in leaving their car for testing and fitment, yes. As it is, all those guys seem content with what they have.

*** FROM THE POST ON SPEEDRIVEN'S BLOG
Machined from high-quality, lightweight billet aluminum, this fully-adjustable coilover suspension package from Speedriven is designed to be direct replacements for the factory hydraulic suspension system on Mercedes-Benz’ V8 and V12-powered SL roadsters.
While extremely capable, Mercedes’ Active Body Control (ABC) suspension system is heavy, complicated, prone to failure on older cars, and prohibitively expensive to repair. Beyond that, the hydraulic/electronic nature of the factory ABC suspension system makes it almost impossible to “dial-in” the cars’ suspension for track days.
That’s where our coilover suspension system comes in. Developed exclusively for Speedriven by one of the top names in the industry, these coilovers ship pre-set to mimic the factory settings. Once installed, they can be adjusted for your specific application. Taking your car out on a road course? Stiffer springs and a lower ride height will help your SL stay flat in the corners. Taking it out to the drag strip? Choose a set of springs that will help transfer the car’s weight to the rear tires and get the power down.
Whatever you choose to do with your SL, this coilover suspension package means you’ll be able to do it better, and without living under the specter of a huge and unexpected ABC-related repair bill every weekend.
Speedriven’s coilover suspension package is available now for R230 Mercedes-Benz SL550, SL600, SL63 AMG, and SL65 AMG model roadsters equipped with Active Body Control, and is available in select anodized colors (shown in gold, above) for 7500 USD, shipped. Call us at 847.485.8126 or email us using info@speedriven.com for more information.

This was the answer to a similar question I posted on our Facebook page. It's not the super-brainy Marcin answer, but (as a web guy) I feel like it's a passable answer:
The chassis and frame stiffness built in to the car is more than enough for most of the situations 1/4 mile and standing mile/roll racing guys will face. If your idea of "trackday" involved more high-speed cornering, you'll want to do more. In other words: this isn't a "replace your ABC and save money!" type of upgrade- those are out there for the guys who expect a $100,000 car to have operating costs like a $20,000 car. This is something different. We're providing a fully adjustable setup with a factory-like baseline for more serious racers that will allow them to "dial in" their chassis more precisely than the ABC system will allow.

I'm not a speedriven fan boy by any means, and if anything I wouldnt play 8k for kit. But I already paid vvk 4.5k a month ago and still no kit. Whats even more dissapointing there still hasnt been any testing for the V12s yet. If your going to talk about vvk maybe address the thread you started with people not getting there kits before you hype them on another thread.
