Soft close trunk
Hi have a problem with the soft close trunk about 2 weeks ago went to close the trunk and soft close didn't work so I pulled fuse #71 and pulled out the trunk latch and epoxy the 4 ***** on the latch and everything was fine until today same thing happened went to close trunk red light on dash pulled fuse now working no water in trunk car doesn't go out in rain. 2007 SL550 26000 miles
Any thoughts ideas what I should try next thanks in advance

Hey Dave. It looks like you still may have a leak if it worked for a while then crapped out. On the DIY thread it looks like more than just the four ball bearing ends were sealed up..
I'm going through the same issue. Waiting for my brother to fix...
