We'll done Forum
My central locking packed up, including the boot.
So I checked through the forum and found a thread, with exactly
My fault and how to fix it. Look in the storage box behind driver
Where there are fuses, it said change the 20 amp fuse, I did and
It cured the problem.
We'll done members.....

you couldn't have just posted that message in that thread?
Why start another thread? (particularly when you don't reference the helpful one )
at a loss here ....

Someone may have the same problem NOW..
At least they won't have to go searching, just change the fuse.

...and to be clear, replacing a blown fuse is rarely a solution, but rather more often, part of the symptom.
Why was/is it SO tough for you give thanks in that thread and/or give proper respect by linking it ? Telling this forum, "We will done ..." (perhaps I am confused by your contraction?) and not linking the thread that ACTUALLY HAS THE USEFUL INFORMATION is lazy or self-aggrandizing
In this fool's utopia that you propose, where everyone who finds a solution in some thread, in turn, starts their own thread which includes only a scrap of the information from the previous thread (and no link) ... this forum will be littered with useless half-redundancy and become too ponderous to search.
Based on the number of questions that you ask on this forum, I can only hope that you have gotten some value out of it ... could you PLEASE try to pay it forward in a useful sort of way?
Thank you for your good intentions and good luck with all of your projects.
Chris

Perhaps the apostrophe is correct! The British pronunciation of 'well' in their wonderful language is slightly different than the 'American' pronunciation. So "we'll say weeeel when we pronounce it with the apostrophe - don't they kind of pronounce our 'well' as weeel??
Been over a decade since I've been to the Fair Isles, so my ear is no longer very well attuned.
Just trying to avoid and international incident over an apostrophe!!!
Cheers mates,
Gary

We'll is a short form of "we will", in the same way that "I'll" is a short form of "I will", rather than the medical indisposition.
I rather hoped that a fellow Brit would help to lead the way with our fair language.

The word should have been....Well .... Not we'll ...
My computer decided I wanted to say we'll and I didn't notice.
I just wanted to thank the Forum...
I will ( not wi'll ) not bother in future.

Latemodel before you comment please check.
The post I read was from someone with a left hand drive car, the fuses
Are behind the drivers seat, obviously I thought it would be behind my
Passenger seat, but no, it looks like it is behind the drivers seat whether
It is left or right hand drive.
Anyone with an ounce of sense knows exactly what I meant, it appears some
Members just want to criticise threads, instead of bringing something
Useful to the Forum .

It is left or right hand drive."
actually, it IS behind the passenger seat in left hand drive markets (see attachment)
you say, "...obviously I thought it would be behind my
Passenger seat, but no..." and then, "Anyone with an ounce of sense knows exactly what I meant" ... perhaps not so obvious?
I am sorry that my criticism felt like an attack, it was intended to be constructive. I have long wished that I did not have to actually click on one of your posts to find out what it is about (creative/curious use of subject line on your part) ... and felt like I should say something. Perhaps I should not have. ... perhaps I should have just said, ... " Ya know, if you post that thank you in the thread where you found the info, it would have brought it to the top so no one would have to search for it" OR, perhaps I should have said nothing. I am sorry that you feel that I don't "[bring] something Useful to the Forum", but I am pleased that others appreciate my help.
Again, sorry if it felt like I was being mean ... You, too, bring something to this forum and it would not be the same without you.
Cheers,
Chris
