New video, horrible street with uneven pavement and horrible traction due to that.
Car pulls like an animal, can't wait to fine tune the coil overs height, and get the alignment all dialed in. Then I'll be ready for a test and tune to get some 1/4 mile times for you guys and enjoy the summer weather with the top down.

Nice!

I think this car will shine most from a roll on the highway (like also in stock form), when the long gears can be fully used without traction issues etc.

Good luck with the further development.

Ok, that's a lot of extrordinarily beautiful work for a car that is going to be slower 70% of the time than when it was tuned. These transmissions are tough and, since you lost a boat load of torque, you could add a great deal of power in the upper end to make up for the lower end losses.

In the end, whatever floats your boat. It's your car and, if you are happy, it was a success.

20-30% of power at midrange is not a big deal for a drag/hwy racing application, it's all about top end.
One thing everyone is forgetting is that it takes a long time for the car to cool off on the dyno with ice in the tank to get a good powerful run like when I did 550whp, while with this setup I can do 5 back to back pulls and make within 5whp. That is due to less boost and much cooler IAT from a larger turbo than 2 small turbos maxed out 100%, so they put out nothing but heat.

I knew I was going to make similar power as before since I maxed out the injectors before, so the HP was going to stay similar. Except for now I just need to upgrade those to make all the air/boost I want, where the stock setup was maxed out together, boost and injectors.

Another advantage with this setup, is a lot less heat in the engine bay, no ABC, motor mounts are a 20 minute job, turbo replacement is a 30-60 minute job, and I can change the turbo size up/down if needed to really dial in the setup. But the 7675 Billet Precision I think is a perfect size for the 6.0 V12, spools up faster that I though it would with no power drop off at all at constant boost.

Also notice how the 551whp run was running 3 degrees of extra timing advance over stock, while the new setup I'm actually pulling 3 degree of timing, so it's 6 degrees less timing over stock turbo tune, that's an easy 30-40whp on this car.

When I did race gas tune, extra 5-6 degrees of timing netted 602whp, while boost/air fuel stayed the same.

Not yet. Car is on my alignment rack, just need to give the rear end a little bit more toe in to keep it going straight under full power and roll my front fenders a tiny bit.

Been busy working on my twin turbo r8 recently and a few other projects. My daily 335d was totaled 10 days ago, so dealing with lawyers/insurances/injuries/etc has left me 0 time for the SL65 to be completed.
Picked up a 535dX to replace the 335d, both are amazing daily drivers, especially with full delete and another 200hp over stock.

Might keep it at this power level for a while. Maybe bump the timing a bunch at the track and pour in some MS109 to bump it up 70-80whp on same boost/afr.

Still needs alignment work. It's been a rainy and cold winter here, so it stayed inside the entire time. As the weather gets better now, I need to figure out the alignment issue and take it to the track.
It drives perfectly straight, but the moment any load is applied it turns. Alignment has been done 3-4 times now. All bushings check out, no play.
I'll do one more alignment on a different machine, if it still does it then I'm going to replace all control arms and possibly solid subframe mounts and diff mounts.

Did you run it at the track? What times did you see. Thinking about doing the rear mount on my E55.

Just saw this car on youtube, my god is sound is amazing. Wish my 600 would sound remotely close to that, i can't hear the turbos at all. Who sells intakes for a 600 anyways? Feel like my turbos are choking with those big *** air boxes in the way.

I thought about making my own, but the engine bay is so cramped, i'm going to remove the bumper in the next week or so when the weather is warmer so i can see what i can jam behind it.
