SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Request for advice!

Request for advice!
I stupidly left the parking brake on when I wintered my SL in my garage.
It has seized on and when I pressed the foot pedal to release it just left the pedal stuck further down.
I've tried rocking the car and even moved it a short distance with the parking brake on to try and free it but no luck...
I'm pretty sure the pads are not stuck to the discs as I did move the car a couple of metres. Looks like it might be the release mechanism...
Does anyone have any tips around freeing this up? Also does the parking brake hold the rear wheels only?
It is a 350 SL R230 facelift model 2010.
