I met up with another car group for Wednesday night drags and thought why not see what it does. I had ordered new air filters, but they didn't arrive in time so I blew the old ones out with some compressed air.

Conti DW with 50% tread 36psi
Everything stock except removed charcoal filters
No burnout
Highest suspension setting
Spare tire and tools in trunk

Best run 12.3 @ 116.55



Traction wasn't so great especially when the weather started cooling down. I'm pretty confident I can pull a low 12 with better tires.

Any thoughts/opinions?

That's pretty good. My buddy took his bone stock 180k mile e55 to the track last week with me, and ran an 12.3 at 113mph on his first pass. They are quick cars.

I'll be taking my new setup to the track soon to see if I can crack into the 10s.

That is a great run D Speeds Low 12's from stock 10 year old plus cars. This is why I love the SL55. Greg I would be very interested to see what your car would run. I don't have the tune you have (hopefully soon) so your run would give me a good idea of what I could expect in the quarter. DUDMD, can't wait to see what your SL will do. Amazing build

running anything sub 2.0 on the 60 ft with poor track prep and street tires is good. that's where a lot of races are either won or lost.
