I have a sl55 amg and recently i believe the transmission has gone! My car does not seem to change gear i can drive slowly and my revs just go all the way up and do not change i can neither select the manuel mode w/s nothing changes this used to happen a bit but id turn the car off then on and it would be fine but now its totally gone the revs will go all the way to 7/8 and nothing changes i have to then slow down and and drive slowly! Any help with be much appreciated

if you can't change modes it sounds like you have an electrical problem. maybe check the tcu to see if tranny fluid wicked up the wires and ruined it. it is located in the footwell of the passenger side. over time the electrical connector at the tranny will start leaking fluid into the wires and fluid will wick up into the tcu ruining it by dumping fluid into it.

another possibility is conductor plate. A STAR tool would help you quickly figure it out.
